Moldova vignette for 180 days

Many people who live abroad come to Moldova for longer with a car with foreign plates – among them many Moldovan citizens visiting home. Such a car needs a vignette, like every vehicle not registered in the Republic of Moldova.
The 180-day limit
The foreign-registered car of a person who lives abroad and holds a foreign driving licence may stay in Moldova under temporary admission for 180 days in total within 12 months. Exceeding this can be fined up to 4,500 lei, and the vehicle must be taken out of the country.

Which period to choose
